And that’s exactly what we’re talking about in this edition.

Forget the gloom & doom announced by our last GDP numbers, the Sept-2020 report has first solid indicators of businesses bouncing back and the horizon’s looking great now that we’re entering the festive mood in the country, virus notwithstanding.

In the last 3 months, we saw the confectionery category showing good bounce leading us to announce that the CHOCOLATE INDEX is what drives India in times of recession.

However, in Sept-2020, there are 2 more categories that have shown higher that pre-lockdown levels. That makes a total of 3 of 7 categories that are now growing like they should. Though, what makes us even more optimistic is the fact that the categories trending lower have bounced back tremendously in Sept-2020 and its just a matter of time till they will get on the growth track.
