The Indian Met department has predicted a hotter than usual summer. 

“During the upcoming hot weather season (March to May), above normal seasonal maximum (day) temperatures are likely over most of the subdivisions of north, northwest and northeast India, few subdivisions from eastern and western parts of central India and few coastal subdivisions of north peninsular India,” the forecast said.

This news would have boosted the spirit of many Consumer Product companies categories that rely on hot weather to drive sales. E.g. Cold Beverages, Fans, AC’s, Refrigerators etc.

Dairy & Beverages products are seeing a big increase in product availability this month. This is their highest ever when compared to that of last year. 

Both of these categories are sprinting to make up for the loss of sales during the last year and one can expect some of these numbers to bounce back. 

The heat is absolutely on!
